Our Week at Atlantis, Bahamas: What We Did, Ate, Loved & Would Absolutely Do Again

Day 1: Arrival Day ✈️

Red-eye from LAX → Fort Lauderdale → Nassau After arriving at Atlantis and getting checked in, we headed to the Flamingo Brunch at Poseidon's Table. Despite the name, there were no flamingos and it wasn't one of our favorite meals of the trip. We spent the afternoon exploring the resort, checking out the aquariums, marine life, and sea turtles before hitting the water park. The Rapid River was an immediate family favorite, although some of the slides had height restrictions that Kamp couldn't do (you have to be 48” for most slides). Dinner: Paranza (The Cove)
⭐️ One of our favorite restaurants of the trip. The ravioli, bread, butter, and service were all incredible.

Day 2: Rainy Day + Resort Exploring

A rainy morning canceled our cabana day and temporarily closed the pools and beach. Lunch: Breakwater Grill Once the weather cleared, we explored more of the resort and found a beautiful lagoon area filled with shells, fish, and tiny jellyfish that the kids loved looking at. Dinner: Seafire Steakhouse (Marina Village)
⭐️ Our favorite restaurant of the trip. Excellent food, atmosphere, and service.

Day 3: Private Boat Day

⭐️ BEST DAY OF THE TRIP We booked an 8-hour private boat charter through AquaZeal and visited Pig Island, where the kids fed the pigs and even got to hold a baby pig. The crew anchored in the most beautiful turquoise water where we swam, sea bobbed, floated, jet skied, played on a floating trampoline, and snorkeled. The highlight of the entire trip was snorkeling with a ton of fish & sea turtles as a family. Lunch & Dinner: Served onboard.

Day 4: Dolphins + Marina Village

We started the day with the Dolphin Playtime Experience at Dolphin Cay. It was a really fun experience, though a rainstorm rolled in and left us completely soaked by the end. After relaxing in the room and ordering room service for lunch, the weather cleared enough for some beach time. Dinner: Carmine's (The Coral) Family-style Italian restaurant. The kids loved the pasta and the family-style experience. After dinner, we walked through Marina Village, grabbed Ben & Jerry's ice cream, and explored the colorful shops.

Day 5: Water Slides + Nobu Lunch: Cocodrilo

⭐️ My favorite lunch. The watermelon salad and pork tacos were so good, and the outdoor seating area surrounded by sharks under the shell-inspired structure was beautiful!! We spent the afternoon riding more of Atlantis' famous water slides, including the slides that travel through aquariums and shark habitats. Dinner: Nobu (The Royal) ⭐️ One of the best meals of the trip. The spicy edamame, wagyu dumplings, and desserts were all incredible. After dinner, we played the 18-hole miniature golf course and foosball.

Day 6: Fishing Charter Day

We headed out for an afternoon fishing trip through AquaZeal. The water was rough at first, and I got seasick, but after a swim stop in calmer water, I felt much better, so we could fish some more! We ended up catching:
🎣 4 barracuda
🎣 1 snapper. Dinner: Margaritaville The food was decent, but the kids loved that they could swim in the pool while we ate. Afterwards, we used the rest of our arcade credits and played more foosball. The arcade wasn't anything amazing, but it was still fun for the kids.

Day 7: Sea Lions + Beach Day

⭐️ FAVORITE RESORT EXPERIENCE We did the Sea Lion Experience at Dolphin Cay, and it ended up being even better than the dolphin experience. We got in the water and swam with a sea lion, and it was one of the coolest things we did! Afterwards, we spent the afternoon at Cove Beach. The kids swam in the ocean, we ordered room service for lunch on the beach, spent some time at the pool, and then Boston and I went back to finish a few of the water slides he hadn't gotten to do yet. Dinner: Latitudes (about a 5 min drive from the resort) ⭐️ A teppanyaki restaurant about 5 minutes from Atlantis, and it was really good!

Additional Notes

There are different towers to stay at and we stayed at the Cove!! There is a kids’ club at Atlantis that looks really fun! We toured it, but never got a chance to use it because one evening we tried to take the kids and arrived too late for them to be accepted. If it's something you're interested in, I'd recommend planning ahead and checking their hours! There are TONS of restaurants and eating spots! We didn’t even get the chance to eat at a quarter of them! They also have room service 24 hours!!
